It's only been four weeks into 2018 and I've already gotten restless feet for a change of scenery. Weekends spent wandering through these beautiful city walls is hardly something to be tired of, but there's something so alluring about some fresh brewed CO2.
One of my favorite nature spots, only a short drive from LA, is a pristine destination called Lake Arrowhead. If planned strategically around traffic, you can be there within 1.5 hours. Through gorgeous, windy canyons, lies a different starlit sky that seems completely unfamiliar to what we're used to looking up to in LA.
My best friend and I found ourselves in a beautiful cabin, with a lush deck within the trees. Nearby was a lovely trail that wrapped around the lake, which was glistening with "water diamonds", as she calls them, as the sun reflected off the deepest of blue waters.
I'm a firm believer of the familiar adage, "Look good, feel good", and I don't think I could have loved a style piece more than this gorgeous striped jumpsuit by LA-designed label Sadie and Sage. Aside from the obvious, stunning cut of the jumper (exposed back and flatteringly low front cut), it was the details of this piece that I came to adore so much. The waistline is slimmed by a gorgeous waist tie, and the shoulder portion is held in place by a tie as well. It was so versatile and comfortable, perfect for all-day lounging on the dock and venturing around The Lake.
If you're looking for the perfect lakeside weekender, Lake Arrowhead is pristine and beautiful in January and will only get lovelier as Spring approaches. PSA: Lake withdrawals last for several days after leaving. :)
