For so long now, the concept of "anti-aging" has remained an unsolved mystery to me. For someone who not only works in the beauty industry, but also carries such an innate respect and obsession for all things beauty, I'm shamefully in the dark when it comes to any anti-aging and sun spot reversal products.
Though my skin is generally pretty even and smooth, time does take it's toll and so do the hours of travel and sunbathing that I indulge in on my frequent vacays. I was so excited to give Cosmedix anti-aging products a try because they are null of all irritants including the ultimate skinemy: hydroquinone.
The two products I tried were the Simply Brilliant 24/7 Brightening Serum and the Pure C Vitamin C Mixing Crystals. My current skin regimen was lacking a serum, and the Simply Brilliant Serum actually evens out spots on your skin while exfoliating away dead skin cells on a micro level (you seriously don't even feel it!).
By far, the most innovative skincare product I've tried in the past year has been last week's discovery of Cosmedix Pure C Vitamin C Mixing Crystals. What. A. Game. Changer.
So this product comes in a powder form, packaged in a tres chic version of a salt shaker that's actually quite addicting to shake and use. You can virtually infuse it into any face moisturizer or serum of your choice, with a couple simple Vitamin C shakes and applying it directly onto your face. It brightens your face throughout the day and I've noticed a huge difference even on days when I forget to infuse it in.
The best part? Both products brighten and reverse the spotty skin damage caused by the sun and aging. After a week, I've noticed some great improvements in my skin tone evenness and some bumps all around have even gone away. One full night's run through of my skincare routine (which both Cosmedix products have become permanent staples of), and I'm left feeling like I just received a pampering facial.
