One of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon is to just go to a neighborhood and explore without a plan. A media event brought my friend Julie Thai and I to Silverlake, where I used to live and where she has never been.
I took her to different areas from Sunset Junction to Hyperion, stopping at every pretty wall to snap some photos. Silverlake is truly an artist's perfect backdrop, filled with lovely local businesses around every corner too.
We loved getting our green drink on at Matcha Bar and their aesthetic patio was the loveliest setting to enjoy our beverages. You can't go wrong with kombucha and matcha in one cup.
Often passed up for Downtown LA and the beachside areas, Silverlake is more than worth visiting and we can't wait to be back to shoot more around this beautiful nook of LA.
